Parents report yelling as their biggest issue. Learning how to stop yelling lets us control ourselves so we can calmly address our child’s frustrating behavior.
Parents hate seeing the aftermath of their yelling – trembling lips, sad eyes, heavy hearts. Learning how to stop yelling replaces shame and guilt with calm and connection.
The skills required to stay calm transfer to a wide range of parenting issues. Learning how to stop yelling makes you feel more confident, competent, and empowered in general.
I’ve experienced tough parenting assignments both personally and professionally. For 30 years, I worked with children facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, and then I became a mom myself, navigating the lack of proper support for parents in similar situations.
Drawing from my background as an elite athlete, coach, and professional life coach, I developed a unique approach rooted in Attachment, Empathy, and Habit Building. After testing my methods, I saw incredible results, especially for parents with tough assignments.
For over a decade, I’ve helped overwhelmed parents build confidence, competence, and calm. Let’s see if I can help you, too.

We take an athletic approach and rely on best practices from three key disciplines:
We take an athletic approach to parenting. We provide the best team, tools, training, and mindset so you can get the results you want.
Our methods are rooted in Attachment Theory, Positive Psychology, and Human Development. We deliver carefully-curated information so you don’t have to sort it out yourself.
Ample research shows the physical and mental health benefits of practicing Mindfulness. We offer proven techniques and expert instruction.
Maybe I’m missing the “good parent gene.” Shouldn’t it be easier than this? You’re not alone in your fear. A lot of loving parents wonder the very same thing! Here’s what I tell them:
Parenting is a learned skill, not an innate gift you’re born with.
It’s like riding a bike. It might feel wobbly at first, but with the right tools, practice and guidance, you’ll gain momentum. It’s never too late to learn how to stop yelling. You just need a great teacher, an open mind, and a willingness to try new techniques. If you’ve got those, what once felt hard will start to feel more natural!
Disrupting the yelling cycle and calmly responding to your child is a learnable skill set. The skills themselves are not a secret – but how to convert those skills into a new habit is our specialty.
Learn. Practice. Reflect. Repeat. Our step-by-step approach makes it simple to build the skills and cultivate calm as your new habit. As a coach, athlete, and educator, I know how to get results.
We use a simple framework and top-notch support to make learning easy for you:
The steps to take before interactions with your child. We teach you how to set up for success by reducing stress, preparing your environment, and understanding what’s going on beneath the surface for both you and your child.
The steps to take during interactions with your child. We teach you exactly what to say, do, and even think to manage yourself in the heat of the moment. We break down the process into micro-moments so you feel confident and prepared.
The steps to take after interactions with your child. Every great coach takes notes after a game. We teach you how to gently assess what happened so you know what to replicate and what to adjust for next time.
The support needed to make your new habits stick. We provide scripts, cheat-sheets, reminders, checklists, and video trainings so you have long-term success. We’re all about results and we know what it takes to get them.
Weekly live online group coaching to answer questions, give high-fives, and support your process. The Stop Yelling Program is not another parenting book to sit around collecting dust and creating guilt. We offer the right support for this important goal. We are here for you with love.
Learning how to stop yelling sets the stage for better parenting and happier homes. When parents are calmer, they can access the better choices they want to make so they don’t just “know better” they can actually “do better.”
We believe parenting is a team sport, not a DIY project. The best transformation programs offer coaching and community for 3 reasons: support, learning, and accountability. Check, check, check. We’ve got it covered.
We provide and lovingly hold a safe space for every parent in the program to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. In Office Hours and on our parent community board, every question is answered and every parent is respected.
If you’re looking for a no-nonsense and supportive tribe to be your training buddies, this is the place to find it. We’re waiting for you with open arms.
Parents with children ages 0–16 years. If you love your child(ren) but are currently yelling often enough to make you feel guilty or concerned, this program is for you.
We take an athletic approach to parenting and rely on best practices from a variety of sources. Our process applies elements of Coaching, Psychology, and Mindfulness. In The Stop Yelling Program we promote empathy, love, and limits.
All yelling feels awful but only you know if it’s too much. That said, signs of excessive yelling are when a parent feels the urge to yell is outside their control, yelling has become a regular pattern, and you believe your kids “only listen when I yell.”
Don’t just take our word for it; check out our testimonials. For over a decade, I’ve taught these steps to hundreds of parents. When followed, the steps empower parents to be calmer and happier.
Each lesson is short – some a few minutes, the longest are about 20 minutes. Total self-paced instruction time is 3 hours. Office Hours are 1 hour each week. Practice is about 5 minutes daily.
Parents from all family systems are welcome. Office Hours maintain a safe, supportive atmosphere.
